Hyde Park Academy High School (formerly known as Hyde Park High School and Hyde Park Career Academy) is a public 4–year high school located in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. Opened in 1863, Hyde Park is located at 6220 South Stony Island Avenue. Hyde Park is operated the Chicago Public Schools district. In 2012, Hyde Park became the fourth Chicago public high school to become an International Baccalaureate school.〔(Hyde Park Career Academy to become an IB school )〕 Hyde Park has a 53% percent graduation rate, 12% lower than the Chicago Public Schools average. ==History== While the school was established in 1863, it moved to its present site in 1914, and underwent several major renovations in the 20th century. In 1973, the school became a magnet school and a "career academy" similar to nearby Kenwood Academy.
